Thanks to Kathy at Books and Munches for running this month-long reading challenge! You need to read only Fantasy and Paranormal based books for the whole of February. My TBR is bursting at the seams. I am so ready for this challenge!
You can find my reading list on Goodreads. I thought it was only fair that I created a list. Maybe making it official will help me stick to the challenge!! The books I have picked had a rating of 4/5 or higher. Just to make it worth my while. Below I wrote little excerpts on why I choose these books in particular.
Dead Witch Walking – Kim Harrison
I liked the idea of a supernatural bounty hunter, so hopefully, the story has some substance. The reviews seem quite positive, not outstanding but I think it deserves a chance.
A Promise of Fire – Amanda Bouchet
A soothsayer is hiding out in a circus to avoid a warlord who wants to use her to make him a King. Sign me up! This sounds like an epic saga full battles, both physically and mentally. Reviews are excellent, plus the book bloggers I follow have said its worth the hype.
Anything to do with the Bayou and Witches, then I am intrigued. Plus it’s based in New Orleans then I am all over that!
Night Pleasures – Sherrilyn Kenyon
I loved Fantasy Lover by Kenyon. Night Pleasures is the highest rated book out of my whole challenge, so I am planning to read this one last.
I have also decided to buy each book. Usually, I get a Kindle edition as I now have become slightly tainted in the aspect of paying £8.99 for a physical book I may not like. So in the spirit of the challenge, all books with by purchased as physical copies.
Bring on February!
Are you doing this challenge? If so, what books have you picked? Are they pure fantasy or paranormal?
Whoop, awesome! Have fun!! 😀
