Why hello my lovely readers. How was your Christmas and New Years? I know it’s March, but life just carried me away as per usual.
I have been pretty much silent over the last couple of months, and I want to say I am sorry for falling out of touch. When I started this blog I was very much a heavy reader when it came to the wonderful world of books. But as of late there has been other thing pulling away from my favourite past time. So I have decided to make a few changes this year and the first of them is my reading list.
Like all of us book bloggers, we set a yearly goal of how many books we aim to read. For the last 3 years I have smashed each goal….except last year! Just after the new year I logged onto my Goodreads account to update what I had read. Only to see that I was 4 books short! DISASTER! Which lead me to having a really long hard look at what I wanted to achieve with my reading this year.
Being a typical Gemini, I have a million and one projects on the go. I run a witchy business, write occasionally on my other blog about going cruelty free and have a full time muggle job. Excuse me while i got lie down.
For me this blog has been my hobby, my passion project. Something that makes me smile while I do it. So for this year I will not be doing an itemised Reading list. I have scaled back my Goodreads goal, to focus on reading for pleasure. I will still read the ARC that I have and get offered if they interest me. But for now its just keeping it sensible and fun.
I hope to increase my interaction over the next few weeks, and fingers crossed keep a little more consistent with my posting. I am all ears for recommendations, and there will be some reviews coming up soon.
But other than that, hi from me, missed you!
Totally get what you mean about not wanting to hold yourself to a goal! Sometimes setting goals and making TBR lists completely discourages me from reading. I hope you have a successful year of reading! x

There’s a fine line between goals to keep you focused and goals that cause anxiety. I’m glad that you’ve taken that step, Zoe, to keep reading as a pleasure.

Thanks Flora! I really want to just enjoy reading, it’s hard trying not to get caught up in the book blogger world.
