A memoir about life and the seasons by content creator Lydia Millen, this book is not easy to describe as even the author herself struggles to explain clearly what the goal of this book was.

Review

* Non-Spoiler Review*

I didn’t know what to expect when Millen announced that they were releasing a book. Then when the author spoke about the book it was vague on what they contents would be. Finally when I got the book in my hands then I started to understand what it was about.

Evergreen is a journal by the author around their interpretation of the seasons, along with tips to embrace each season and recipes to match. It’s quaint, yet, there is not actual substance to her recommendation or thoughts. The book would have benefit more if it reference content that that author found beneficial, not just tangible items to make your environment seasonable.

Overall, I enjoyed reading the thoughts and feelings by this author as I have been a long time fan of her content. But would I say I was inspired or found her advice ground breaking…no.
