Hello my lovelies,

My first book log of 2024! It feels a little surreal, but also quite satisfying to be two weeks in and already one review down and halfway through two other books!?!

Recently Finished:

My first book of the year – Good Material by Dolly Alderton. To be honest if I wasn’t doing a read-along with my bestie, I am not sure if I would have finished it so quickly. I am discovering recently that Alderton’s writing style (while excellent), I find that her story telling is a bit on the nose for me. Well especially in this book, but upon reflection, maybe that it is a good thing that her writing is challenging me?

Currently Reading:

I got Daughter of the Moon Goddess probably in the first half of last year, I confess the size of the book put me of initially – I am happy to have waited though, as I love this story. I just started Part 2 of the book and I can’t wait to see what happens with the main character #loveit

Welcome to the Hyunam-Dong Bookshop was I book I randomly saw online that I had put down as a potential buy. During the Christmas period I saw it in Waterstone and brought it before I initiated my 2024 book ban. It’s now one of my cozy reads, I am taking great pleasure in reading a few chapters at a time and being immersed in the bookshop’s world.

That’s it for last week, I am already feeling so good about this month. How are you feeling about January?
