Book Log: Summer update 22.06.2024

Hello my lovelies,

I have just returned back from my holiday in Seville. If you are a regular here, you know that this is my second holiday and possibly the last for the rest of the year.

Seville has now become one of my favourite city break places, I confess I wasn’t the biggest fan of Spanish food. But upon reflection, I think that was because when I was in Spain, I managed to go to poor food places… However, my views have changed! The architecture, food, and the accessibility of Seville was amazing.

Now enough about my holiday serenade, let’s get into my Summer reading. If you haven’t had a chance to read my Summer TBR, I recommend you pop over and have a read. I would love to hear your thoughts on my picks, again I used book prompts to help me with my picks.

So last week, I did manage to start reading two books. Neither of them from the Spring or Summer TBR – these are what I would call my filler books.

Currently Reading:

Bluffer’s guide to etiquette was a birthday gift and I am thoroughly enjoying it, a light satire book on etiquette which is right up my alley. It’s wonderful when your friends know you well!

Haunting Adeline was a book recommendation from another friend which I picked up cheap on my kindle. I would advise discretion for anyone who reads this book, please check the content warnings. I didn’t go in blind thanks to my friend informing me, it’s dark, shocking and definitely haunting. A book not for the faint-hearted.

Above is a wee picture of the Plaza de España from my travels.

That’s me for the last week. How are you getting on this June? Have you managed to get through a few pages of your own TBR?

Till next time.
