Hello my lovelies,

How was your July? Are you enjoying your August as well? Apologies for the radio silence, Summer madness took a hold and my social calendar went bonkers.

It’s nice to be busy for a little while, but now I am ready to get back into some decent reading. I have also decided to update my reading goal to a more realistic number, because for the last few years my normal ambitious book goals have not been meet.

Besides that here is my current Summer update.

Finished

I finally finished Shadowblade, which I was annoyed at myself for not reading sooner. It was a fun fantasy romance read (light on the romance), but the world seemed fascinating to me.

Throne of the Fallen, I think I read within two days – very much an old thing for me to do. I plan to get my full review up as soon as I can, but this didn’t disappoint!

Currently Reading:

Babel is another book which I was intimidated to pick up, because I struggled with the Poppy War (I didn’t finish it). However, Babel is feeling more like my cup of tea. Set in Oxford in a world where silver is imbued with magic, we follow Robin as he learns that the university he thought he was entering into was not what he signed up for.

That’s me for the last month. I am getting through my Summer TBR slowly but I am enjoying the last three books I have picked up. Which is a big positive!
