Hello my lovelies,

How’s things? What a week of reading it has been for me! I reactivated on of my book subscription boxes, and the first book I was sent I read within two days!! I mean I wish it was one of my books from my Summer TBR, but I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth (I don’t know if that is the right saying haha).

Other than that, I still managed a BBQ with friends on the Saturday and a garden party on the Sunday…all and all a pretty good weekend.

Finished

Bonded by Thorns was a reverse harem romantasy, which gave a bit of beauty and the beast vibes. It was a nice break in the books I have been reading lately, it took me half a minute to get use to reading romantasy again (which I never thought I would catch myself saying).

Currently Reading:

Not only am I reading the tome that is Babel, I have now picked up another book – The Bone Season, which is just as hefty…

My current thoughts on Babel – The world is fascinating and I am intrigued by the MC Robin, however, it is pretty heavy on the detail and I am finding myself tiring/feeling overwhelmed after on chapter.

The Bone Season is similar to Babel with its world building, but the character development is a lot quicker and the supporting characters have more substance. I have a feeling I will finish this book first as it doesn’t feel as dense as Babel.

That’s me for now, I am really happy with my progress – will I finish my TBR by the end Summer? Probably not, but will I be reading more? Definitely.
