Hello my lovelies,
What a Spring this was. Not only did I manage to get loads on sunshine in through picnics and social gatherings, but I also manage to read a lot throughout May.
I don’t know what it is, maybe the weather? maybe that I managed to get a healthy balance of socialising and downtime? or I was in a fabulous reading mood. Who knows.
But I am not complaining, this mood/vibe has set me up for achieving my yearly reading goal – and I am here for it!
So that is where I am currently – but let’s dive into the wrap-up!
Here is a reminder of the books I picked for May:

Rollover Book: The Marriage Game by Sara Desai
Subscription Book: Iron and Embers by Helen Schuerer
Exploding Book: The House in the Cerulean Sea
Interest Read: The Last Library by Freya Sampson
Out of the four books, I have finished – Iron and Embers, The Last Library, and The Marriage Game . I didn’t touch The House in the Cerulean Sea, and to be honest, I don’t think I will anytime soon. So I may send this one to the charity shop when my exploding books ends this year – but I will keep you posted.
In other exciting news, I finished a book not from my May TBR!?! This was Getting Sh*t Done by Roo Day, a little self help genre book from a Instagrammer I follow. I thoroughly enjoyed it, this book showcased really life hacks that the author does to keep her place, herself and her life enjoyable and relatively clutter free. (Full review to come soon).
Therefore I read a total of 4 books in the month of May.
I am now only 2 books behind in my yearly reading goal, which brings me loads of joy. This feel manageable, all I need is one good month of reading and I am back on track!
How did you get on in May? I would love to hear in the comments below.
Till next time.
