Hello my lovelies,

Oh, I am currently writing to you from a place of frustration! I have spent the good half of this month trying to finish a tome of a book – only to DNF it half way as I was utterly board with it…

I know many of you can sympathise with me on how annoying this is. Not only do I feel irritated that I should have DNF sooner, but now I have fallen back to being 3 books behind in my yearly reading goal.

It’s time to take a deep breathe I think, strategise on how I can come back from this!

Currently Reading in my TBR:

Here are my current thoughts about these books:

The Count of Monte Cristo – As I was focusing on a previous book this month, I am going to start reading again. This book is going to take me awhile as mentioned before, however, I should read a few chapters every month minimum.

Quick Silver Trilogy – Not started, but after this post I think I will pick it up today. Fingers crossed it sucks me in quickly!

The Red Scholar’s Wake – Hmmm, I am a bit apprehensive to start this as it is science fiction and I do find myself struggling with this genre. But I will push on to at least read a bit of it by the end of the month.

Below is the book I spoke about. What I have realised about myself, is slow paced books are not for me…while I don’t mind backstory and world building, this book was just – slow. The character development was steady, but then when it came to the plotline, I was almost pull my hair out!

So nope, I ain’t finishing this…sorry!
