Journal Update: 21/07/2025

Hello my lovelies,

I’m thrilled to share some good news for July’s reading! I’ve already finished one book from my TBR pile and am on track to hopefully complete two more. This has been a much-needed boost for my morale, and I’m even trying a new reading format that aligns with my yearly goal. I can’t help but crack a smug grin as I write this! Fingers crossed I can keep up this variety in my reading.

So here is my current update.

Currently Reading:

Here are my current thoughts about these books:

The Let Them Theory – I’m really enjoying this audiobook, especially since Mel’s narration makes the content so easy to digest. I’m learning a ton and already planning to apply some of these techniques to my life! I’m confident I’ll finish it by the end of the month. #winning

Quick Silver Trilogy I’m completely in sync with this book! Josie Jaffrey’s writing style truly draws me in, making it easy to get utterly absorbed once I start reading. With three novels and six short stories in the series, I’m making good progress and am almost finished with the first novel.

The Atlas Six – I’m a couple of chapters in, and I’m really enjoying the interesting storyline and engaging writing style of Olivie Blake. Oddly, I find myself only able to read one chapter at a time before I need to set it aside. I haven’t quite figured out why, but that’s my current reading rhythm.

Finished

The Red Scholar’s Wake – I still need to write a full review for this one. It was an interesting read, though the challenging writing style meant there wasn’t much world-building. I felt a bit thrown in and had to piece together what was happening as I went along.

A pretty decent update this time round. How are you fairing with your reading goals? Have you switched it up to help you read more, or are you still doing the tried and true?

Till next time.
