December 2025 TBR

Hello my lovelies,

We are at the home stretch! One month to go and then it’s 2026 and a fresh start to yearly reading goals too…ekk!

It’s the home straight and I am finding myself struggling – which quite frankly annoys me. Looking back on November, I know the moment where my reading took a hit is when I DNF’ed a book. I was 50% of the way through and it was a bittersweet decision…but it needed to be done, as I was not enjoying it whatsoever.

Since then, I have joined two book clubs to help me spur on my reading. So maybe, just maybe, December can be wrapped up right…yearly and monthly goal completed in one fowl swoop!

Let’s get into it.

Here is a reminder on how I am picking my monthly TBR books:

Historically, I have been using prompt cards to help me pick. Yet, this year, I am doing something different.

The first thing, will be to rollover one book that I haven’t read from the previous month. One thing I noticed last year, was that whatever I didn’t read in that month would get lost on the wayside. So this time, I want to rollover a book to help me hold myself account.

Second thing, I will read a book from my Fairyloot Romantacy subscription. I want to be active in staying on top of this, as I believe I will not always want to keep the books after I read them.

Lastly, I will make an conscious effort to pick one book that I really want to read from my shelf, and one from my exploding pile (where I give myself this year to read it or they will be sold or given to charity).

So let’s get into the books I have picked this month:

Rollover Book: Blood and Steel by Helen Scheuerer

Subscription Book: Zhara by S. Jae-Jones

Exploding Book: The City of Dusk by Tara Sim

Interest Read: Girls just want to have funds by Camilla Falkenberg, Emma Due Bitz, Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen

Book Club Read: The Christmas Cottage by Sarah Morgan

Blood and Steel and This Christmas Cottage are my two book club reads, the good news is I am not over halfway with Blood and Steel – as well as Girls just wanna have funds. The goal is for the first half of December I can tick off these two books easy. My challenge book will be the City of Dusk, I am hoping the audiobook will be good, as I plan to use my audible credit to do so…While Zahara is my wild pick from my physical TBR as it’s been sitting on my shelf gathering a large amount of dust!

So let’s see how this goes…

What do you think? Have you read any of these books from this TBR? I would love to hear your thoughts below!

Till next time.
