Hello, my lovelies.
How has the first month of 2026 been for you?
Mine has been one of many challenges. First, I had to move out of my flat because of the rent hike. Secondly, I found out my job might be made redundant, and then to top it all off, I caught a cold…
So you can imagine how little I might have read during this month, it definitely wasn’t on my bingo card – but I tried my best.
That is where I am currently – but let’s dive into the wrap-up!
Here is a reminder of the books I picked for December:

Rollover Book: Zhara by S. Jae-Jones
Subscription Book: Warrior Princess Assassin by Brigid Kemmerer
Exploding Book: Fairy Tale by Stephen King
Interest Read: Help I S*xted my Boss by William Hanson & Jordan North
Book Club Read: The New Neighbours by Claire Douglas
So January was a disappointing month; I didn’t finish a single book on my TBR, nor any book for that matter. However, I am happy to say that I was reading on and off – not losing momentum, just not finishing a book.
Currently, I am making my way through The Count of Monte Cristo in ebook format, listening to Fairy Tale on Audible and reading the hardcover of Zhara.
Therefore, I read 0 books in January.
Not how I wanted to start 2026 off, but life just got in the way – and that’s okay. I want to remind you, lovelies, to take care and not be hard on yourself when you haven’t reached your monthly goal.
How did you get on in January? Did you also have challenges like me?
Till next time.
