Book Log: Winter TBR

Hello my lovelies,

Welcome to Winter my Nothern Hemisphere lovelies, for my Southern Hemisphere beauties I hope you are easing into Summer and that the sun is giving you that much-needed boost.

This is my second seasonal TBR and I think I am going to stick with this format for Spring & Summer 2023, as mentioned before, I never used to do seasonal but my reading habits have changed and this quarterly format suits me.

Right, so where to start?

Last season’s vibes were dark, magical and mysterious reads. This season I still want to incorporate magic, I used the illumicrate book prompts (set of cards I received in their book box subscription) and picked out a majority of what you will see below. I also wanted to include any books that I need to finish ASAP.

Book Prompts

These are 6 books I chose from the book prompts, I ended up only choosing one book that has a magical element. Though I am surprised that I am going back into the regency genre around Christmas/New Year, or maybe it’s because I don’t want to read another heavy fantasy book!

  • A book set in a country that’s not your own – The Women of Troy
  • The longest book on your TBR – The Other Bennet Siter
  • An anthology/collection of short stories -Wanderers: A history of women walking
  • A book by a queer author – The House in the Cerulean Sea
  • A book you’ve been wanting to reread -Born in Shame
  • A book with a one-word title – Reputation

I will also try and finish books I started in Autumn as well, so hopefully, I will be publishing more reviews and ticking off my reading goals for 2022/2023!

What do you think of the books I picked? Have you read any of them?

Till next time.
