Review

* Non-Spoiler Review*

My second none fiction book of the year! Also, an Audiobook too. Gosh, it feels good to say that – two things I want to improve on in this year’s reading goals!

Now, diving into the book, The Let Them Theory caught me off guard in the best way. While some reviewers found it repetitive or dismissed Robbins’ insights as mere common sense, I found myself genuinely drawn in. Yes, the premise may seem evident at first glance, and some might argue it’s surprising this concept could fill an entire book.

But for me, it was thought-provoking. Robbins surfaced ideas that, while seemingly intuitive, many of us tend to overlook in adulthood. More than just reminders, the book offered practical tools and suggestions to help integrate these principles into everyday thinking – if that makes sense.

Robbins’ strength as a speaker shines through, which isn’t surprising given their podcast background. That engaging delivery is what kept me hooked. Honestly, if I’d picked this up in print, I probably would’ve skimmed a few chapters and left it unfinished.

In the end, I appreciated being re-grounded in logic and pragmatism, especially when navigating emotionally charged situations.

  1. Good review! I heard her speak years ago and thought she was energetic and motivating. Whats with all the drama around this book? Had she ever spoken on it?

    1. I read it has been a split opinion about her theory, some critics praise her approach and getting us back to setting healthy boundaries. While other critics slam it for trying to sell a book that is about common sense at the end of the day.

      I don’t think she would have spoken about it. Why give them screen time? If she does, I would be interested to hear her thoughts.
