August 2025 Wrap Up

Hello, my lovelies,

How was your August? Here in the UK we have had wonderful weather – which I have been making the most of. There was one point where I was sitting at the seaside with my friend and asked “are we in England?”, as it was glorious weather.

I did surprise myself with how much I read in the month of August, especially since I had a lot going on. But with the help of one book being an audio book, reading this many books didn’t feel like a chore!

So that is where I am currently – but let’s dive into the wrap-up!

Here is a reminder of the books I picked for August:

Rollover Book: Ultra-Processed People by Chris van Tulleken

Subscription Book: The Wind Weaver by Julie Johnson

Exploding Book: The Breakup Monologues by Rosie Wilby

Interest Read: Quicksilver Trilogy by Josie Jaffrey

August was an amazing month for reading. I not only got through a bunch of books on my to-be-read list—Ultra-Processed People, The Wind Weaver, and A Quick Study—but I also finished Broken Souls and Bones and Rose in Chains.

Therefore I read a total of 5 books in the month of August!

I can now say that I am right on track to finishing my yearly reading goal! It is satisfying to know that I have reduced my backlog, the thought of being behind was bugging me.

How did you get on in August? I would love to hear in the comments below.

Till next time.

  1. Our weather in Alabama has been a little less hot and humid, so I consider that a win, hahaha. It was a relatively good reading month for me as well. I hope you have an awesome September!
