WWW Wednesday

A weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, this week I dip into the world of Fantasy and talk about my latest contemporary read. I am super impressed with the variety of books I have been reading.

What are you currently reading?

When I think about why I started reading this book, I had to laugh. The reason I went to the bookstore was to buy a TBR book and exchange a £1 in loose coins for a singular pound. This was so I could use a trolley and the supermarket (please tell me other people have done this!). I scoured the shelves looking for books that sparked my memory and I confess I found a few, but it just didn’t feel right. So I adventured over to my fantasy/paranormal section, thinking I would pick up another PNR book. Surprisingly I choose the Magician’s guild, a new adult (or maybe YA) fantasy. Currently, I am a few chapters in and I am enjoying the story.

What did you recently finish reading?

I am still pinching myself. In the last week, I have managed to read only contemporary fiction and romance! Here I am claiming that I usually struggle to read anything other than PNR and look at me!!! I loved all that she can see, it was such as unique read. I do wonder if the author would write a sequel because it was really good! Break the Line was an ARC sent to me by Fiery Seas Publishing and was an easy read. The career fishing scene was new to me and I really enjoyed it, I just wish the author expanded the story more as I felt it was a little too short.

What are you reading next?

To be honest, I haven’t really thought about it. There is my neverending TBR list and I have signed up for a March challenge on Goodreads. Usually, I just stumble into what I am going to read next as I am a very impulsive reader. If it doesn’t feel right I won’t read it.

Maybe I will just hold you in suspense until next week?
