Hello, my lovelies.

You may have or have not noticed that for the month of July, I didn’t release a TBR…

That’s because I decided not to.

Summer sucked me into socialising, and my new job was still taking so much of my brain capacity that I was left struggling to concentrate on reading at the end of the day.

So to take the pressure off myself, I decided no TBR! Which, in the end, turned out to be exactly the right choice. While most of the month I worked my way through one book, I did manage to sneak in another at the last minute.

Over the last few years, I have noticed that my reading fluctuates dramatically around summer. Some years I read a lot in June & July, while other years it plummets.

That is where I am currently – but let’s dive into the wrap-up!

Casino Royale – Recently I have been going through the back catalogue of Bond films and thought, why not try out the novels too? I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

Gothikana – One off my self-destruct list! However, as I was reading the book, it reminded me of when I was first getting into paranormal romance and how predictable the characters were written. I will try and get a review written for this one to expand on what I really think/feel.

Therefore, I read 2 books in July.

It’s movement! Also, I was looking at my stats since March I have already read at least one book. So it’s progress in not completely falling off the wagon.
