Book Log: Spring 2024 TBR

Hello my lovelies,

I can’t believe we have reached Spring! I am looking forward to seeing all the flowers and trees begin to blossom, as well as sitting outside reading when the warmer temperatures arrive.

There was some improvement in my reading during Winter, I managed to read different genres to my normal comfort ones. While I didn’t manage to get through all of my TBR, I did reach half which I am proud of. I also got into some new authors and cannot wait to read more from them.

Another bonus is that I haven’t broken my #bookbuyingban, which is amazing! Almost three months into this year and I haven’t caved. My fingers are crossed for the next 3 months to see if I can do the same thing.

Now let’s get into what I picked for Spring 2024?

I decided to pick my books using the illumicrate prompt cards I got in their subscription box awhile ago. Along with that, I am going to stick to selecting 6 books again – so statistically 2 books per month. If I find that I can read more than that, I will consider adjusting my number for the next season.

To Read

Overall, from the prompts I randomly selected – it’s a good mixture of books that have been on myself for a long time and some recent additions. Still heavily fantasy, but really in reality most of my books are fantasy based…

  • A book that has been adapted into a movie or TV show – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K Rowling
  • A book outside your comfort zone – The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
  • A book with multiple POVs – Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor
  • A book with natural elements on the cover – Queen of Myth and Monsters by Scarlett St. Clair
  • A book from an author you never read – Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
  • A science fiction book – Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh

What do you think of the books I picked? Have you read any of them?

Till next time.
