Book Log – 24th March 2021

This is a book log of what I have been reading, what I plan to read and any thoughts I have during that time. If this sounds right up your alley please use this concept and tag me so I can come read your log!

Wow, we are almost at the end of the first quarter of 2021!

Currently Reading

I am slowly working away on my TBR year goals, the one thing I like about this goal is that I am discovering books I didn’t even realised I had. Also, damn, I have a lot of unread books on my kindle haha.

Now, onto what I am currently reading/reading next.

I stumbled across Mrs Hinch on Instagram. She made cleaning look really satisfying, so while I was in a little bit of a slump a few weeks ago. I breached my TBR goal and brought this book second hand. It’s been a fantastic little read, it also have inspired me to make cleaning fun for myself rather than a chore.

Recently Finished

I finished Lucas, Marrying Miss Milton and Dead Reckoning, two were ARC’s and one was from my TBR list. I am impressed with myself for jumping across different genres. Yes, they all have romance in them, but hey, I can’t help that!

Well, I never thought I would have to put a DNF in the first quarter of this year. What’s even more annoying is I brought the physical copy of this book. I think with Kindle culture it’s easy for me to stop reading a book if I am not enjoying it as I didn’t pay the same price as a physical one. However, with physical books, I am more determined to try and finish them. Which brings me to The Women at Hitler’s Table, I was enticed by this book because it was inspired by a true story. But do you think I could get through it? Nope. I mean it is a interesting story, but there is something missing for me.

I am tossing up whether to come back to it at a later date, but I am not sure. So for now it is sitting on my bookshelf until I either read it or sell it.
