Book Log – September 2021

This is a book log of what I have been reading, what I plan to read and any thoughts I have during that time. If this sounds right up your alley please use this concept and tag me so I can come read your log!

Happy September my loves, how has the first week been treating you? I have started a new job and I haven’t found much time to read. Also, some of the books I have started reading I have put down as they didn’t really grab me straight away!

Currently Reading

Another hefty novel I have started, this one a whopping 515 pages. I got Labyrinth from my Oxfam Book Haul, the first few chapters have grabbed me, so I hope to pick it up again over the weekend and start diving into the story. A good historical fiction to sink my teeth into after the long cotemporary read I finished last.

Recently Finished

Looking back over at last month, I am surprised that I managed to get through 4 books. Two well over 500 pages and two regency romances (not surprised there). I have reviewed Country Lovers on the blog, but the others I haven’t. You can never go wrong with an Erica Ridley romance, it was a good laugh and it had just a splash of spice. The Untamed Duke was pretty hot and heavy, on the spice level I would give it a 4/5 – not for the faint hearted. Crescent City was amazing, I think I prefer it to A Court of Thrones and Roses series. I plan to review this book fully in the next week or so.

TBR this month

These are from my A Box of Stories subscription, so I will aim to get through them all – or at least attempt them haha. I will probably pick up another box from my Oxfam Haul, but I would like to get through these ones first. Who know what I will gravitate towards in the end.

What books do you plan to read this month?
