Hello my lovelies,

Instead of my normal book log this week, I decided to review my current standing in my Winter TBR. As we are now just over halfway through Winter – (I follow the lunar calendar for seasons), I wanted to see how I was getting on – and if I had managed to increase my reading.

So lets dive in.

(The books are currently in order of how I am reading them).

December I didn’t manage to finish any books from this TBR, but considering that Winter starts the 22nd of December for me – the festive season can be a write off.

I finished Good Material in the first few weeks of January, as I was doing a read along with a friend. It wasn’t a favourite read, maybe because it felt a little to close to home for me. Then it took me till the first week of February to finish my second book – Daughter of the Moon Goddess. Which I absolutely adored and has made me want to read more Chinese Mythology retellings. Luckily I have a couple in my library already!

Currently I am a quarter of the way into Good Omens. I watched the TV series before reading this book, while many of us would suggest reading the book first…I like hearing the actors voices as I read this book. But maybe that is because I am a fan of David Tennant and Michael Sheen.

Outside of this TBR, I am close to finishing Welcome to the Hyunam-Dong Bookshop. I picked this book up during the Christmas period and I was really drawn to reading as soon as I could. It’s not a quick read as the way it is written, I want to absorb the environment and people as much as possible.

After that, I think I have a good rhythm going. Do I wish that I was reading more? Yes, but that’s ok – I would rather read slow then not read at all! Half way through the season and I am at the halfway point with my reading. Not bad at all.
