Hello, my lovelies.
Another month has completely flown by! Between starting a new job, surviving a ridiculous heatwave, and keeping up with a packed social calendar, it’s safe to say the rumours are true: warmer weather really does bring the chaos. Despite the madness, I managed to keep reading. While it wasn’t quite as successful as April, I persevered, and that’s what counts. Here’s hoping for another quiet month soon to help me catch up!
That is where I am currently – but let’s dive into the wrap-up!
Here is a reminder of the books I picked for May:

Rollover Book: Song of Silver Flame Like Night by Amelie Wen Zhao
Subscription Book: We Who Will Die by Stacia Stark
Exploding Book: A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid
Interesting Read: The Courage to be Disliked by Fumitake Koga & Ichiro Kishimi

We Who Will Die– Another satisfying romantacy from my FairyLoot subscription, I usually am not a fan of too much action scene – but I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this one.
The Courage to be Disliked – People rave about this book, saying that it changed their whole perception of fear. I saw value in this book (a conversation between a master and an inquisitive youth) – though maybe I was expecting more?
Therefore, I read 2 books in May!
On the positive side, I finished books in May. Frustratingly, not as many as April. However, there is momentum, and interestingly, I am reading more non-fiction than normal. So I can’t wait to see the mid-year review stats and the genre comparison.
How did you get on in May?
Till next time.
